  • Pilleys Lane is literally falling to bits!! The road needs to be completely resurfaced as there are numerous patches and small potholes which can quickly develop into much larger and dangerous holes after a period of rain or cold weather. what you may not realise from simply looking at the profile of Pilleys Lane on a map is that it is can be extremely busy - it is used as a cut through for patients and staff travelling to and from Pilgrim Hospital as well as ambulances, the hourly bus between the hospital and Horncastle/Lincoln travels in both directions down the road and large agricultural vehicles (including caterpillar tracked machines). All this traffic creates considerable wear and tear on what is essentially a residential road.
