Dangerous surface for cyclists
Reported via desktop in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 12:37, Tuesday 8 June 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 398307.
As you head east along Sudbrooke Lane and then turn south into Lodge Lane there is a stretch of poorly-surface road - the road here is very uneven with cracks and ruts making it dangerous for cyclists and virtually impossible to ride on. As a cyclist the only sensible thing is to move into the centre of the carriageway to avoid it and this is not ideal as this is on a corner that is sometimes cut by motorists (sometimes fast-driving motorists). Please could you consider resurfacing this section of the road to allow cyclists to stay closer to the kerb and to allow more space for motorists? Thankyou.
Thank you for your report. We will investigate and make an update to this report within 14 days.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. An officer has inspected the location and assessed the fault in accordance with our Highways Infrastructure Asset Management Plan and it does not require urgent action. However work to regulate the surface of the failing utility trench is being considered and the carriageways overall condition has been noted. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action
