Open Man Hole
Reported via desktop in the Obstruction on pavement/verge category anonymously at 10:11, Tue 8 June 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 398289.
A man hole cover has been missing to an inspection chamber for nearly 1 year now. Although this has some bollards it is on a grass verge and only 50cm from the pavement. the opening is probably 80cm x 50cm and quiet deep. It needs a cover and it is difficult to understand why this has been open for so long.

Open Reach have now attended and it is not theres. I have contacted Anglican Water and they too have attended. It is not thiers either. The Anglican water operative advised that this was part of an old water run off system from an old dyke or other water source. As such it is not part of Anglican Water and is the responsibility of the Council. So it would seem that we have gone full circle. The man hole is still marked but open, so it really needs attending too. I await your further response.

Yet again I am faced with a report saying "Works Complete"
To be clear there has been NO WORK on this problem. The man hole is still open and the bollards are still there ??? There has been no change since this was handed back to :Lincolnshire CC. To be clear this has been inspected by both BT Open-reach and Anglican Water. They have both independently confirmed that this is NOT their infrastructure.
How do we get a report that works have been completed when clearly NOTHING has taken place ?

Still no progress, bollards have been removed by people using them to self manage parking issues in the village. THIS REMAINS OPEN AND DANGEROUS ON A MAIN ROUTE FOR CHILDREN GOING TO SCHOOL. SOMEONE WILL BE INJURED SOONER OR LATER. This has been open for a long long time It's a disgrace. Please come and seal it up.
