Several large dangerous potholes

Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 17:22, Thu 10 June 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 398483.

There are large potholes at both the "T" junction with Bakewell Terrace and Cross roads at other end. There are also lots of pot holes along the whole length of Alexandra Road. This has been the case for over a year. Workmen did come and fill a couple in but ignored ones next to filled in ones. I have had to replace 2 coils in last year alone.

  • Apparently this is classed as a fixed road.

So looks like they put some tarmac in a few holes and skipped over most of them.

It does make for an interesting pattern though. Who wants plain roads nowadays.

  • Works have not been completed!

All of the potholes on Alexandra road keep being reported on here and status changed to fixed. Nothing has been fixed, I’d be surprised if anyone has even come to look at them!

  • Just an example of one little section of a long road covered in potholes.

Not sure what work has been done, except for someone putting yellow markings around some of the holes.

The Road has definitely not been fixed.

Please can you stop closing the job and saying complete, until road is actually fully done as you are lying to the tax payers and residents.

  • More photos.

If other people can keep putting photos of different parts of the road, then we can show how bad the road is.

  • I’m not sure if people get an update like I do for these.

I spoke to Lincolnshire county council yesterday about this app. They have said nothing has been fixed, it is the app playing up.

I complained about the road and the app. I was advised work is scheduled for this road in 6 weeks time but couldn’t say what work.

I also spoke to the man marking the potholes. He said it’s his job to decide which are filled etc. I explained the problems, he said his part of the council can only fix up to 10m patches, so they will come and do the bundles of potholes with patches. The deep potholes are too be filled ASAP.

This is just the info I was given yesterday. If you’re receiving wrong notifications from the FixMyStreet app report to Lincolnshire county council
