Knee high grass, weeds and nettles om St Denys Ave and Galley Hill

Reported via desktop in the Weed spraying category anonymously at 10:34, Thursday 17 June 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 398912.

The grass verges on St Denys Ave, Sleaford and surrounding areas are in desperate need of cutting. The grass and weeds are knee high and this makes the area look run down and uncared for. I would cut them myself but I do not have a mower and an 76 and ill. Also on the North Parade side of Galley Hill Bridge the nettles are just at face height to young children and pushchairs. Apart from the run down and uncared for look at the entrance to the town they are dangerous as a young child could be badly stung. I had a visitor from Kent here last week and she commented on the disgraceful untidiness look as she walked into town. Weeds growing out of the sides of the pavement, litter and broken glass on Galley hill and of course the nettles. She said she would never come back to Sleaford for a visit again as it looks so untidy and unloved. Please get the grass verges cut please get rid of the nettles on the bridge. It reflects badly on the town and is offputting to visitors and residents.
