Heavy Traffic causing vibration/shaking to houses.

Reported via desktop in the Road surface issue category anonymously at 10:00, Friday 18 June 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 398992.

Since the new LIDL has been completed and the road updated to incorporate the supermarket entrance and move the pedestrian crossing island, large vehicles driving past our home are making it shake. There is a change in level on the road and as the large vehicles drive over this change in level it causes a mini earthquake that causes the house to shake. This is especially bad during the night and wakes us up as the road is clear and traffic speed is able to increase which increases the level of vibration.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because we inspected the area, on both approaches where the surface changes and no defects were found. The road looks in good condition and we didn't feel anything significant when driving over either. Thank you for reporting this matter.
