Poor road condition Victoria Street Stamford Street NG31 7BW

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 399211.

The roads have been developing potholes on and off for years. Unfortunately the fixes are only ever temporary and its only a matter of weeks before it starts to breakdown and come loose again. In my opinion and im sure the reports will reflect this, the time has come for the whole surface to be redone. Huntingtower road only minutes away was recently entirely resufaced. I believe this needs to be done to our roads aswell. We have 250 plus homes on this road, its one way with on street parking preventing even wear across the whole width and we often are forced to accommodate oversized vehicles and lorries looking for somewhere to turn around when they realise they cant get under the bridge.

We have assessed the fault in accordance with our Highways Infrastructure Asset Management Plan and it does not require urgent action. If the fault deteriorates significantly please report this again to us. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • Does not require urgent action? Ok. But it does require action does it not? Huntingtower road was done and I believe that was the same condition. When will this be reviewed or does it require more damage to be done to cars to warrant repairs?
