Dangerous footpath

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 399467.
Last Sunday afternoon, in broad daylight, my husband who is in his 80’s, had a nasty fall on the pavement outside the front door of 37 Skellingthorpe Rd and injured his right hip. Now, two days later, he is still in pain, but at this stage we have no assessment as to the amount of damage he has incurred. On examination it is obvious what the problem is. The large tree at the point of the fall has been has totally lifted the pavement surface through root growth. It has lifted it at least 6 inches and large cracks have also been caused. 20 yards away another large tree has caused the exact same conditions. On advice, we have photographed the problem areas. This must have been in this conditions for probably years, clearly getting worse. To allow it to continue is a clear dereliction of duty to maintain the footpath in a safe condition, and needs rectifying as a matter of extreme urgency.it remains to be seen what the result of my husbands fall will be. Please acknowledge receipt of this communication. Mrs Therese Witts 31 Shaftesbury Avenue. LN6 0QN
