Gravel & sand covering all pavement for several metres
Reported via desktop in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 23:01, Sat 26 June 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 400132.
Between the entrance to Westfield Park and Darkes Garage the pavement is almost fully covered in sand, grit and mud so no grip when walking on it. When it is wet it is very slippery and someone could easily fall over causing injury. This has been like this for several months with the build up getting worse and not washing away. The edges of the road and crossing areas are also fully covered in sand, grit and mud

I have been away and on return went out last night to check the path as reported above. Unfortunately I cannot see any improvement so not sure where has been cleaned but the path between Westfield park and Darkes Garage on the Grimsby Road remains as bad as ever covered in sand and grit (it is worse from Fanthorpe Lane entrance to the petrol station). It is the same on the islands used to cross the road and on the edges of the road

This issue still hasn't been fixed but for some reason no further investigation has been undertaken and the icon remains green. Maybe it is time to contact the Executive Director for Place Andy Gutherson to see if the issue gets resolved given it was reported two months ago.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.
