Overgrown shrubs and weeds
Reported via mobile in the Overgrown tree/hedges category anonymously at 16:13, Mon 28 June 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 400326.
The well used footpath between Great Gonerby and Hill Foot is now impassable in places due to overgrown shrubs and weeds, including stinging nettles. The footpath with is down to a few inches in places. It’s a well used footpath and it’s impossible to pass another pedestrian without one standing in the shrubs. I understand it’s the growing season but this needs sorting.

My son rides his bike along here to school and is getting scratched on his arms and face by the branches and brambles. His uniform is covered in pollen. Please can you cut the trees back.

The walk way walking up to Great Gonerby Grantham is so overgrown, I walk to work up and down here daily and feel so vulnerable as no body can see you from the road anybody could be hiding up there. Plus it is impossible to carry on walking when you need to pass someone who is walking the other way you have to stand in the hedge to let people pass walking or biking

My son walks to school sling this path has complained about wet when walking past the trees which are blocking the path. Really needs a good trim thank you very much.

I use this footpath to walk to town & back for work., I feel very vulnerable as you cannot be seen from the road .. definitely needs cutting back both sides …. Also there is not room to pass anyone coming in opposite direction!! Unless you stand in the overgrowth

My daughter walks to school and back down there and it worries me about her safety. Anyone could jump out on the kids walking up there by themselves and that’s without the bushes taking over the path, scratching them.

My children (try to) use this foot path daily for school routine but has become so overgrown that you can't pass socially distanced at al. The hedges and shrubs are so prickly that they catch and create holes in their uniforms!

This is a narrow footpath at the best of times, and made worse because the bushes are overgrown. It makes being able to create social distancing impossible if you need to pass other users. As it is so overgrown, it also make you feel vulnerable when using it

I agree with the points mentioned and I am also concerned about safety as I’ve seen people walking up and down the roadside where there is no path, just to remain socially distanced. This is unsafe in a whole different manner due to the trucks and cars speeding up and down the hill. Please cut back the hedges and perhaps the trees on the bank so the footpath is more visible and less daunting at night.

This needs sorting / clearing asap. My son and 3 others including a gentleman with a mobility scooter have had their tyres punctured because of the vast amount of thorns on the path due to the council not cutting the hedgerow back and attending to it. We have had the expense of new tyres and we now driving our children to school clogging the roads up even more as the path is unfit for purpose . Please sort asap.
