Overgrown stinging nettles obstructing the footpath.

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown tree/hedges category anonymously at 15:25, Wed 30 June 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 400490.

Nettles are now so overgrown they cause a hazard to pedestrians, wheelchair users and persons pushing infants. Walkers need to step into the road to avoid injury and as this is a blind bend where traffic constantly enters above the speed limit it should be treated as urgent.

  • Work has taken place but as you can see from this photo parts of the footpath are still overgrown with nettles and brambles leaving a very narrow path on the blind bend. All pedestrians may feel it necessary to step into the road on the bend, but wheelchair users, mobility scooters have no room to pass at all.
