Overgrown tree/hedges problem

Reported via Open311 in the Overgrown tree/hedges category by Customer Services at 12:33, Thursday 1 July 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 4163750.

MOP asked us to cut the hedge that borders their property from the footpath at the back. Also asked us to cut the hedge on their garden side. Advised that this might be their responsibility.

  • Our mapping shows that we do not carry out vegetation maintenance along this link footway, we only maintain the footway itself. You may wish to contact the Parish Council for advice. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: not the council's responsibility

  • Although you say you don't clear vegetation you only maintain the footpath, surely to maintain the path you need to clear the vegetation! It shouldn't be the responsibility of those whose properties front this footpath to keep it clear, who is responsible please?
