Heavily degraded pathway
Reported via mobile in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 18:15, Tue 6 July 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 400911.
The pathway positioned at the front of properties 4 & 6 Rooklands is in a heavily degraded condition with significant risk to pedestrians.
My children and partner have recently tripped up on the pathway one having minor injuries from a fall.
My neighbour reported this 18 months ago, the area has been marked up but since then the sections north have also suffered the hard standing breaking up.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. The access for number 4 & 6 has been marked up by National Power Grid for works. The remainder of the footway is in a condition that does not meet the criteria for intervention level according to our Highways Infrastructure Management Plan, but we will still continue to monitor. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action

National Grid are excavating a 2 cubic metre area for a new electric mains connection, this area will be finished with new tarmac. This shouldn’t negate the responsibility of the council to repair what is obviously a very poor section of footpath. When my child falls again as a result of the council not honouring their responsibilities to maintain public rights of way I will be following this up with a legal claim based on the report presented and opportunity created to repair a pathway that is clearly beyond acceptable condition.
