  • The gullies were cleaned on our drainage cleansing programme in December 2020 and no issues were identified with them. However the outfall is the dyke along Swingbridge Road which is the responsibility of Highways England to maintain. We have reported this issue to Highways England, please contact them directly at https://www.gov.uk/ government/ organisations/ highways-england if you require any further information. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: not the council's responsibility

  • Whether the gullies were cleared last year is pretty much irrelevant. As can be seen from the above photos, both are full of soil. This washes down swingbridge into the service road. A report has been made to highways England as well, but - shock, horror you might need to work together to sort it out. Status : is your responsibility!
