Kerb drains never work

Hi

There is a flooding issue on the next street, Macmillan Avenue. I've noticed for years that non of the kerb drains on Newark Road appear to work, very shallow in height and there are no grill drains on this section of road. As you can see in the photo, there is several inches of water which has covered the path. Due to the kerb drain never working and the absence of the larger grill drain, this water is then flowing down onto Macmillan Avenue, which I assume is causing the drains on here being overwhelmed.

I feel very sorry for the residents on this street as this issue has been ongoing for years and the water on here gets very deep.

I feel if the Newark road had functioning kerb drains or better still, grill drains installed, East and West of Macmillan Avenue, this may help there flooding issue to a degree.

At present, non of the kerb drains appear to take any water and there are non of the larger grill drains until you come off the main roads into the side streets.

Where I've highlighted an issue, the majority of water at the roadside has nowhere to go apart from flowing into the drains which are on Macmillan avenue.
