Thank you for contacting Lincolnshire County Council regarding the verge cutting in Pinchbeck. We have completed two countrywide cuts of the season so far. The verges throughout Lincolnshire are cut three times per year for safety reasons which include maintaining visibility at junctions or through bends and cutting a 1.1m width alongside the road edge in rural areas for pedestrians and other vulnerable road users to use where there are no footways. In exceptional circumstances additional localised cuts may be carried out but this tends to be on junctions where there are multiple users not to aid private access onto the highway. Thank you for reporting this matter.
