Dangerous to parents with children
Reported via mobile in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 18:31, Tue 27 July 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 402212.
Please could something be done to make the end of Seymour Lane in Alford safer for pedestrians. I use this regularly when collecting my young grandson from school. It is with great difficulty that I push his sister’s pushchair over this very rough ground at the same time keeping a eye on my grandson. I’ve seen many parents having to walk on the main road with their children, something which I have had to do myself. This is just so dangerous especially as it is an almost hidden road as car comes round a corner from South Street. Thank you.

Good morning. I received notification that the works at the end of Seymour Lane have been completed. However when I walked that way yesterday it was no different to what I previously reported. Nothing seems to have been done. It is still way too uneven and dangerous. I have no photo to update you with as it’s exactly the same as the photo I originally uploaded.

Although I provided an update on 1st September, I haven’t had a reply/response. Apart from a little patch being filled in the middle of the junction nothing has been done to make anything else safer and easier for people with pushchairs/wheelchairs/mobility scooters. The work done in no way makes any difference to the problem I originally reported.
