  • We are sorry that we are not taking immediate action with this report. Our records show that the drains in this area were cleaned in the last year and were running well. In times of extreme weather even the most efficient systems can become overwhelmed. If the problem recurs in less extreme conditions please report this again. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • I'm sorry that the picture I provided did not give you enough information to properly review my problem with a blocked drain. To help further, I have explained the problem fully below. 1) The drain in question is on the public footpath outside the property. 2) I believe the type is a "Drain Channel", and is to transfer surface water from the roof of 138 (which drains onto the pavement) away to the main drain. 3) The drain channel is blocked and has weeds growing from it, so (a) has not been cleaned in the last year (b) cannot remove water as it is blocked. 4) As mentioned in 3, the channel is blocked and has not been cleaned in the last year, so your records are incorrect. 5) If you don't "FixMyStreet", then I will do it myself and shame WLDC on social media.
