Huge standing water issue

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 402415.

This has been a problem for a long time, when it rains the water stands on the side of the road near the footpath. It’s like the drains can’t cope with the volumes of water .. this is a big issue for cyclists trying to use this road, also pedestrians are getting covered in a wave of water due to passing cars causing a wave of water of some height !

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. Whilst it is recognized that this issue was reported some time ago we are still unable to act in a timely manner to mitigate the issue. A drainage survey carried out on the 6/10/21 identified blockages/collapses at the rear of three roadside drainage gullies at the location. Work to repair these faults will be considered in the future but we are afraid that no timescales can be provided at this time. Thank you for reporting this matter.
