Yet again after a heavy fall of rain (10/09/2021) the water from the drain situated here covered half the road.

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 404962.

You have previously stated that this drain is cleaned twice a year and that is adequate. Clearly it isn’t as this happens every time we have heavy rainfall. This has been an on going issue as I have raised this a number of times. I dread to think what will happen if there is any construction work on the land adjacent to this drain. Maybe a sinkhole? Perhaps you might do something then, but if recent experience is anything to go by, I’d be six feet under from holding my breath.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. We visited the site during heavy rain, standing water was under half of the carriageway. The gully is due to be cleaned this month as part of cyclic works and we will monitor the site in the meantime. Thank you for reporting this matter.
