Hundreds of potholes

Think I counted that 6 potholes were filled in last Thursday by contractors… a drop in the ocean. When is this road going to get them attention it needs? The verge is being eroded because traffic is driving on the verge because this is a much better surface to drive on than the actual road, this in turn is going to be a problem as Autumn approaches and the weather becomes wetter. This road has been in a third world state since at least 2003!

This road is getting worse by the day. The potholes previously filled in did absolutely nothing to make the road better. The few potholes filled were small holes in the middle of the road where tyres never even touch. Yet they were surrounded by larger potholes directly in the line where car tyres would hit. I'm not sure how the patches filled were chosen above the others, it made absolutely no sense to anyone.
We were filled with hope when there were signs out out to say the road would be closed for works on the 5th September. That day came and went and nothing happened, the signs stayed in place into November still with no more works.
There are whole roads being resurfaced in the area with barely any potholes on them or any noticeable isssues, yet for years this road has been in a terrible state and worsening by the day. It is in desperate need of full resurfacing.
This is an extremely popular area where there are more and more cars coming down this road to visit the local woodlands and walks, it has a medieval heritage which interests a lot of folks, and the area is being ruined by lack of infastructure in the road system.

This road still hasn't been fixed, it is horrendous to drive on and cycling is pretty much impossible without damaging your bike! This is a mile stretch of road peppered with potholes! It needs resurfacing, when will this ever be done?

We're sending you this message to let you know that we've assessed the road condition and at this time it does not require urgent repair. However we have identified this location for a larger scale improvement scheme. At this stage we are unable to give specific dates for this or definitely commit to the scheme because we prioritise these schemes based on condition compared with the rest of the County road network and the resources available to us each year. We will continue to monitor this location as part of our routine inspections of the highway in the meantime. Thank you for reporting this matter.
