No lights on at 5:30am
Reported via desktop in the Street light category anonymously at 19:07, Thu 16 September 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 405331.
Elder Close has the same problem every year - no street lighting in the mornings. Rest of village seems to be unaffected but not a single light is on at 5:30am until it gets light

Still no lights on in Elder Close in the morning. I left the house this morning at 6am and its pitch black yet every other street in the village has lights. I have noticed all Elder Close lights are on at night, so surely this is a timer problem?

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. The issue of part night street lighting turning on/off at different times during seasonal adjustments is a known, but temporary situation. Street lights have sensors that monitor the number of daylight hours, which is how they set their internal clock; they are not adjusted manually nor controlled from a central management system. During the autumn and spring time, the lights enter a period of adjustment when their timings may vary as they adapt to the changes between British Summer Time and Greenwich Mean Time. But in addition to the transition period associated with the clocks changing, part night sensors can also be affected by changeable or overcast weather conditions, and by their location - if they are in shade from buildings or trees for example. Please be assured these variations are not intentional or due to any technical fault, but unfortunately the seasonal adjustment periods are unavoidable and are only temporary. Thank you for reporting this matter.
