Green Lane, off Belton Lane, Grantham is a permitted access road to Belton Lane Primary School. This has been so for over 40 years. In the past walkers have been able to use the pavement to safely separate themselves from the occasional traffic and cyclists. This has become no longer possible because of the overgrown nature of the shrubs, nettles etc. There are also a number of cars parking on the Lane at school drop off and pickup times in recent years (about 2-3 years) making it even more unsafe for walkers who have to now walk on the Lane beside the pavement because of the vegetation problem across the pavement. I suggest that the vegetation should be brought under control, the pavement repaired and the parking issue addressed to ensure that if the pavement does become clear again for pedestrians then vehicles are not allowed to park across the pavement which would make the pavement unusable again. This has become a recurring issue in the last 2-3 years. Thank you for your consideration.
