Large section of footpath has completely disintegrated along manning road across two garage entrances rear of 67 Abbey Road

Reported via desktop in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 13:16, Mon 20 September 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 405518.

This problem was reported on 21st July 2021 by telephone to customer service and reference number 4164379 was provided - however this seems to correspond to a completely different issue that has now been repaired slightly further along on Manning road. The entire footpath has disintegrated leaving only loose gravel type substance along the footpath stretching quite some distance across two garage entrances at the rear of 67 Abbey road, this seems to be by far the worst section and it then continues on towards the Salvation Army disintegrating in patches as you go along. This is possibly the worst footpath in all of Bourne and terrible for parents walking their children to school or for those wanting to walk to the shopping centre. This is a severe trip hazard and winter is approaching and will only make the surface of the pavement worse.

  • This has not been fixed at all, no works have been carried out since it was reported all that has happened is the yellow paint that was sprayed around the area has been on it that long waiting for work to be completed it has now worn off.
