Extremely faded stop line on the left hand lane

Reported via mobile in the Road markings faded/missing category anonymously at 15:57, Tue 21 September 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 405620.

The stop line for the first set of lights on the duel carriage way is very faded, broken and can not be seen in a vehicle thus not making it obvious that it’s a set of traffic lights for that lane of traffic to be stopped at, especially as the continuation of the normal lane lines are straight after where I would assume that the stop line should actually be. These have been fading for the past few years and even more so since the Bulmer and Kirkland building works have been going on. It’s now at a point where it is extremely dangerous as the correct place to stop can not be seen and could result in an accident with traffic coming from the Beevor street junction. It desperately needs a repaint in order to reduce potential collisions. Road users should be focusing on potential oncoming hazards around them. Being able to judge when slow and stop in time would be greatly improved should these lines be repainted/ fixed and not being distracted by desperately searching where the stop line could be.
