Priority signage
Reported via desktop in the Sign (unlit) category anonymously at 11:51, Wed 27 October 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 408047.
This is a dedicated cycle route, so priority needs to be given to cyclists travelling from the cycle path along the Witham towards the High Street. This needs to be indicated at the High Street end to prevent drivers from driving into oncoming cyclists in the correct road position, as there's no safe place for them to pass parked cars whilst there's oncoming cyclists, but they refuse to wait until cyclists have passed. Clear signage will help them to wait until cyclists have passed, and prevent them from forcing cyclists onto pavements illegally, or cause risk.

The traffic calming you are requesting is what is known as a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO). In order to request a new Traffic Regulation Order you should speak with your Parish/Town council in the first instance. If the Parish/Town council support your request they can then contact their County Councillor who will put forward the request. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action
