Thank you for contacting Lincolnshire County Council. We understand and are aware that there are on-going issues with the drainage system on Sincil Street and the surrounding catchment. A section 19 flood investigation is currently underway to fully understand the causes of the flooding in the area. The investigation will also identify longer term solutions to resolve the on-going issues. As an interim measure, an additional gulley has been installed in the vicinity, which under normal rainfall, should improve the overall situation. The storm that was present over the weekend was of a high intensity, and even the best running systems can, at times, exceed the capacity of the drainage system and cause local flooding. We understand that flooding can be a distressing experience. We would encourage you to call the Flood Line number on 01522 782082 to report any further flooding incidents. The line is monitored 24/7. Thank you for reporting this matter.
State changed to: No further action
