Curb at junction of FP166 and Deepdale Road needs to be lowered for safe passage of mobility scooters and buggies

Reported via desktop in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category by Claire Ward at 12:15, Tue 9 November 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 409189.

It has been reported that elderly people in mobility scooters are unable to access Deepdale Lane from FP166, close to the sheltered housing, because the curb is too steep. They have to go to number 31 to use the dropped curb (driveway?) to get across the road. This is also an issue for parents with buggies.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. An officer has inspected the location as described in the enquiry and notes that recent work completed against the new development has improved disabled access to this public right of way. Utilising the vehicle access opposite against number 31 is also deemed adequate at this time. Thank you for reporting this matter.
