Zebra crossing beacons unlit for months
Reported via mobile in the Sign (lit) category by Nick Carter at 23:51, Mon 15 November 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 409643.
This crossing is now unlawful due to the beacons not working. This has been like this for months. I have reported this to the police and you the Highways. This is now a dangerous location for which you and the police take no responsibility. As a retired police officer I am offended at your lack of care. YOU WILL REMEDY THIS STATUTORY OBLIGATION YOU HAVE TO MAINTAIN THIS CROSSING. I have now written to Sir John Hayes and the local press. In addition I require you to show me that this Zebra crossing meets the necessary criteria to be placed at this location at it's junction with Hawthorn Bank, notwithstanding at the present time it is unlawfully placed.

I think because of this dangerous crossing 7 days should be sufficient time for a progress report. Have you placed signs showing this crossing is out of use?
