Traffic lights completely out of sequence along Newark Road / Rookery Lane/ Hykeham Road

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 410197.

The trafic lights at the junction Rookery Lane Hykeham Road are completely out of sequence, causing major tail backs past DeWint Avenue and over the junction with Doddington Road . I ask the question’ how long should it take to travel from Eastbrook Road to the Aldi superstore?’ 30 minutes is NOT ACCEPTABLE to be sat in traffic that does not flow . Drivers get impatient and use the outer left hand turn to cut back into the queuing traffic. I have seen on many occasions cyclists (using the cycle lane )being forced to brake to avoid cars turning into Dewint Avenue, because the lack of visibility over the junction. This stretch of road is totally useless having the traffic signals as they are presently set. My morning commute used to take 10 minutes, it now can take up to 25 minutes, for a journey of less than a mile along this road is unacceptable!
