Flooding due to road resurfacing

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 410692.

When the road outside our house was resurfaced earlier this year the new tarmac was laid on top of the old. As a result of this there is now no kerb between the road and my drive to allow the water to run in to the drains. As our drive is on a slope when it rains our front garden and around the front of our house floods. I have had sandbags across my front door for a number of months. This issue has been rectified outside number 7 and Ivy Cottage a number of weeks ago but the workman had no instruction to do outside ours at number 1 the row. The drains have recently been cleaned by yourselves but I am genuinely concerned we will flood inside the house soon, due to the increased height of the tarmac. We have lived in the house for 15 years and this have not been a problem before.

  • This issue hasn’t been auctioned. Can you please provide an update on when the works are scheduled because it will impact our ability to leave our property. I’m concerned about the storms causing flooding. The sandbags we have at the front of our house are disintegrating.
