Tarmacadam repair coming up.
Reported via desktop in the Problem at LCC roadworks category anonymously at 16:58, Fri 3 December 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 410848.
About a year ago or not much longer there was a water leak on Birchwood Avenue at the junction with Finningley Road. A large hole was dug up by a squad of men in high viz. clothing and the repair carried out and then the hole backfilled. The tarmac top surface was later laid down, however by the end of last winter it was breaking up badly, which tells me that it was either too shallow a top surface laid down and/or the edges not properly sealed which is a common fault with road repairs in this county. I suspect a bit of both. So the repaired surface lasted only a few short months before breaking up.
