Numerous potholes and surface degradation (ongoing for a number of years)
Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 09:06, Mon 6 December 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 410986.
Numerous potholes and general surface degradation across the full width of the road for 50+ meters.
An attempt was made to "repair" the road earlier this year by throwing around a few shovels of tarmac, this has if anything made the surface worse!
It is dangerous for the kids who have to walk this route to the school bus on the road, as the is no path, whilst cars continue to weave about across the road to avoid the worst of the bumps and ruts, it is also dangerous for cyclists who regularly use this quiet route out of the back of the village.
Thank you for your report. We will investigate and make an update to this report within 14 days.

Potholes are slowly getting worse. The section of road that is now in a poor state is for approx. 100m. Last years repair wasn't sufficient and will now need further repairs

The photos show a fraction of the potholes in Newbridge Lane for approx 75 metres from the intersection of Ings Lane. As per the previous comments the carriageway is in a dangerous condition for any road user, be they on foot or any type of vehicle. Repair attempts have been abysmal and an absolute waste of money. An accountability study should be undertaken to ascertain how this situation has been allowed to develop an the level of service provided by the appointed repair contractor.

Still no action since first reported in 2021. The roadway has deteriorated even more. No updates provided at all...a disgrace and a blight on the village.

Substandard repairs done. The whole road is a patchwork quilt of bad repairs from over the years. It needs a proper job doing some time. Not the fault of the workmen, they are only doing as requested by the offices.

Reporting again, as per the previous reports and further updates from other residents following the "repairs" made 22nd July.
The road has not been fixed as indicated by the LCC update, some of the larger holes have had tarmac molehills put into them, further adding to the general unevenness of the road surface and as they have not been sealed will likely be re-ejected from the holes this winter, as previous mole hills have been.
ELDC have seen fit to increase traffic flow down this road and further damage has occurred from building activities - this whole section of road needs to be resurfaced prior to an accident involving children, as there are no footpaths in this area.
