Numerous potholes and surface degradation (ongoing for a number of years)

Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category anonymously at 09:06, Mon 6 December 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 410986.

Numerous potholes and general surface degradation across the full width of the road for 50+ meters.

An attempt was made to "repair" the road earlier this year by throwing around a few shovels of tarmac, this has if anything made the surface worse!

It is dangerous for the kids who have to walk this route to the school bus on the road, as the is no path, whilst cars continue to weave about across the road to avoid the worst of the bumps and ruts, it is also dangerous for cyclists who regularly use this quiet route out of the back of the village.

  • Potholes are slowly getting worse. The section of road that is now in a poor state is for approx. 100m. Last years repair wasn't sufficient and will now need further repairs

  • The photos show a fraction of the potholes in Newbridge Lane for approx 75 metres from the intersection of Ings Lane. As per the previous comments the carriageway is in a dangerous condition for any road user, be they on foot or any type of vehicle. Repair attempts have been abysmal and an absolute waste of money. An accountability study should be undertaken to ascertain how this situation has been allowed to develop an the level of service provided by the appointed repair contractor.
