Foot path destroyed for 50 metres

Reported via desktop in the Trip hazard/uneven surface category anonymously at 13:54, Mon 13 December 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 411591.

I watched over this weekend the farmer driving over the path at numerous points with full loads of sugar beet until he has totally destroyed the whole path not just the area with his drop kerbs i also watched a local wheel chair user having to go down the middle of the road on a corner ,why are you not prosecuting the farmer ,he's now left site leaving the area covered in mud and unusable by pedestrians and disabled persons

  • After a recent visit to site we acknowledge your concerns and accept that the footway has deteriorated in condition and there has been some mud deposited on the footway however, several factors including the increase in use of large agricultural vehicles due to the time of year and also the weather, means that any repairs to the footway at this moment in time would not last and be a potential misspend of public funds. We will continue to monitor the site as part of our routine inspections and will review the situation early next year with the view to carry out any repairs as necessary. If the fault deteriorates significantly, please report it to us again. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
