95% of the drains in West Elloe Avenue are blocked

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 411747.

95% of the drains in West Elloe Avenue are blocked. these have not been cleared for a year. Now that all the leaves have dropped from the trees it is an ideal time to clear all the drains, especially if we have a harsh winter. Blocked drains = flooding = danger on the roads. Many drains have sludge in them too.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because the road has recently been swept of leaves and the gullies in the area were cleaned as part of the annual cleanse in October 2021. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • The drains were NOT cleared in October. If you actually go down the road and inspect the drains you will see that 95% of the drains are blocked by leaves. Many have sludge in the grilles too.

    The drains need clearing now

    How can you justify not clearing the drains? This is a small sample of them. They have not been cleaned in the last year. They need doing now. You’ve recently cleared St. John’s road and at thomas’ road, so why nog west Elloe?
