Blocked culvert

Reported via desktop in the Damaged dyke, ditch or culvert category by Jeff. Summers. at 14:13, Mon 20 December 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 412131.

At this point, is an open ditch which brings water from Bishop Norton Road to a point where it passes under the road to Seggimoor beck. The culvert is now blocked potentially by builders on the near by site. When this culvert blocks, water overtops the open ditch and runs down the road flooding the village around the village hall.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. We have visited the site and have exposed the culvert which passes under the carriageway. Whilst on site we could see water flowing freely into the pipe. If the pipe becomes blocked in the future we will re-investigate. Thank you for reporting this matter.

State changed to: No further action
