Barn conversion on White Cross Lane PE114AL is nearing completion and block paving round edge of Barn is within the 1m road edge. Soil has been dumped on 1M strip of highways land preventing water drawing off WhiteCross Lane. Roadside drain at west of Whitecross Lane and OldHall Lane has been filled in resulting in standing water on Whitecross Lane/Old Hall Lane.

Reported via desktop in the Collapsed verge category anonymously at 15:33, Mon 20 December 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 412139.

Block paving prevents pedestrians walking on verge. Standing water is unpleasant to walk through and dangerous when frozen and eventually leads to potholes which are very expensive to fix.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. An Officer inspected site and spoke to the contractor. They are aware the paving is too close to the highway and are currently removing the paving stones and redesigning the area. Thank you for reporting this matter.
