Street is a mess

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown tree/hedges category anonymously at 18:13, Tue 28 December 2021

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 412592.

There are a lot of trees that are either dead, dying or overhanging the paths at the lower end of Birchwood Avenue - Doddington Road end. The pavements are overgrown with grass from the verges and the fallen leaves make the paths dirty.

The whole road feels dirty and dreary.

This is namely between Fulmar Road and Doddington Road and particularly on the left hand side looking down to Doddington Road from Fulmar Avenue.

This makes the aesthetics of the area miserable and as the trees in the surrounding areas are subject to TPOs and can't be felled without permission from the City Council - which is generally refused as they "add amenity value and are aesthetically pleasing" -to allow the road to get into this state feels like a contradiction of policy.

The area feels dirty and the paths are barely wide enough to walk one person and a dog let alone 2 people side by side.

Please can the area be tidied up and the trees / shrubs cut back so that the road feels more pleasant and the aesthetics of the area are restored.

Thank you.
