Temp Taxi Rank Markings not removed leading to illegal parking in cycle lane
Reported via desktop in the Road markings faded/missing category by Thomas Jarvis at 19:58, Wed 29 December 2021
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 412704.
Along Wigford Way there is a marked taxi rank on the road however this is used almost exclusively by criminals illegally parking - often see the same cars parked in the same position hours apart.
The temporary taxi rank was put here during the works near the station a few years ago, however this temporary taxi rank never had its markings removed. According to your TRO map (https://lincs.locationcentre.co.uk/ internet/ internet.aspx?articleid=YfmDQ6wYrkU~&preview=true) this area does not have a taxi rank and instead is no waiting at any time. In addition there is supposed to be an advisory cycle lane through here - which is always blocked by illegally parked cars.
Could the correct road markings be reinstated here & look into having this area patrolled by parking wardens to discourage the illegal parking here which is common.
