The drainage should have been leveled with the tarmac.
Reported via desktop in the Damaged dyke, ditch or culvert category anonymously at 09:35, Tue 4 January 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 413129.
Although work has been done recently but the drain itself is too low. It should have been raised to the level with the tarmac. I have driven over twice but now drive to the middle of the road to avoid any damage to my car. There is a second drain with similar issue just a few yards from this one.

We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. An officer has assessed the images provided and these have been passed onto the engineer in charge of the recent patching work who will inspect and defect the work if necessary when next in the area. Thank you for reporting this matter.

Urgent action needed - the council shall be responsible for injury if any cyclist rides over the dipped drain and falls off. It seems if the council only paid for the patchwork and not for levelling the drain cover.
