Boultham Park Rd., from about Lincoln Avenue to Brancaster Drive. West side of the road, north.

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 413490.

Several antiquated road repairs now well past their end of life. Have deteriorated for some years, which I have reported several times thru' Fix My Street.

Special hazard to cyclists, even if you try to cycle in the middle of the northbound lane to escape them. Cracks and growing pothole shapes are increasing.

Try cycling the road to test what I am saying!

  • We acknowledge your concerns and accept that the highway has deteriorated in condition. We have assessed the fault in accordance with our Highways Infrastructure Asset Management Plan and it does not require urgent action. If the fault deteriorates significantly please report this again to us. Thank you for reporting this matter.

  • I am staggered that you decided there is no urgent action required on these potholes and bad surfaces !!!!! You acknowledge the deterioration. You ask me to report it again if further deterioration. How can I judge that?

    Boultham park Road is just worse and worse with bad surfaces eg pedestrian crossing outside the library near Rookery lane roundabout, eg the stretch from Marjorie Drive to the cross roads at Dixon Street is just a rubbish surface all the way [western side].

    Can you give me any encouragement, any information, about getting improvements instead of just glibly abandoning all hope of improving this road?

  • I disagree! None of these road surfaces I identified has been 'fixed'. Apart from a tiny bit of tarmac put down today 24 Jan 22 outside a house opposite Mayfair Ave., no 'fixing' has taken place on Boultham park Road from Hall Drive to Dixon Street for at least 5 years. John Flynn (Tel 536485 if you want to make an issue of this).
