Whole footpath is dangerous to walk down
Reported via desktop in the Road surface issue category by Miss Gillian Henshaw at 12:37, Mon 10 January 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 413857.
I fell over on Saturday 8th January 2022 on the uneven footpath between Sea Lane and Brickyard Lane. It has a very slippy under foot surface and is on a camber leaning towards the field where there is only electric fencing to steady my balance. There are numerous raised tree roots and I fell and hurt my knees and right hip replacement. I understand that the elderly gentleman who lives at the side of the path fell last year and was hospitalised. This footpath is has a dangerous surface and would be greatly improved with a gravel or tarmac planings surface. Most people who live around the area and use the footpath regularly are old age. I'm not asking for something out of keeping with the rural area, just a surface that is safe to walk along. Nothing can be done about the numerous tree roots but a deep covering of a gravelly top surface will be quick and simple to implement and improve the footpath 200%
