We are sorry we are unable to attend to this enquiry in a timely manner as proposed in previous comments. An officer has assessed the request and whilst work to mitigate the issue has already been carried out this has found a collapsed pipe or blockage that cannot be dealt with by jetting alone. This may or may not be linked to the flooding in front of the property as it is on the opposite side of the road further downstream of the location. Work to excavate/repair this pipe is being considered, however, we are not able to provide timescales for this work currently. Whilst we know this is frustrating the location is not considered to be a significant hazard at this time. Please feel free to re-report the matter should the situation deteriorate. Thank you for reporting this matter.

Thank you for the update, unfortunately the situation has deteriorated. Following heavy rain today, Tuesday 6th September 2022, Pitts Road and subsequently my driveway and garage flooded again. The only reason my house didn't get flooded is that the rain stopped after about 15 minutes. I feel it is only a matter of time before my property is flooded. Please can this be looked into again? Thank you for your help with this and I loom look forward to hearing from you soon.

Great news, we’ve had a look at the issue and we have now passed to our Highways Officers for the team to assess what can be done to resolve the matter. We’ll let you know when the assessment has taken place.

We are sorry that we are still unable to provide timescales for when we will attend the location using a professional drainage survey and repair team. As previously stated this was to follow on from our historical attendance with our drainage cleansing contractor who identified further work on the downstream part of the highway surface water system. This work involves CCTV cameras, tracing equipment and full excavation/repair teams which is a resource in significant demand throughout the year. However whilst it is still our intention to continue this investigation in this manner we will arrange for our jetting contractor to re-attend in the meantime to hopefully mitigate the issue. We are afraid we are not to provide timescales for any of these operations. Thank you for reporting this matter.
