Road falling apart
Reported via desktop in the Pothole on road/cycleway category by Thomas Leyland at 10:04, Fri 14 January 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 414313.
Pilleys Lane is a busy cut-through for all traffic (buses, ambulances, tractors and private vehicles) going to Pilgrim hospital, Boston High School and farms from the north (Lincoln, Horncastle, Coningsby). The road is particularly busy during the morning rush and between 3.30 & 5.30pm. Not surprisingly the road surface has been falling apart in many places for many years, each winter presenting a clear and present danger to both cyclists and car drivers seeking to avoid injury / damage. There have been frequent minor repairs, but the situation reverts within days. Urgent, permanent action is now needed before a serious accident occurs. A 20mph, speed limit with average-speed enforcement cameras would also seem sensible.

Pilleys Lane is falling apart again! Thank you for the recent patch repairs, but as you can see from that attached images the road surface is already degraded by potholes. The lane is busy with traffic, cyclists, runners and pedestrians yet there are no pavements. A more lasting solution needs to be found before there is a serious accident.
