Poor and hazardous road surface

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 414642.

In the event of rain, snow, ice the surface of The Chestnuts becomes very slippery and a hazard too vehicles and pedestrians. As well as frequent traffic to two businesses on this road there is also frequent traffic due to users of the nearby school. Estimate of over 100 vehicles use this residential road daily.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report. An officer has already inspected the location on a number of occasions following similar requests in the previous 12 months. The reported fault was assessed in accordance with our Highways Infrastructure Asset Management Plan and does not require urgent action. The surface of this cul-de-sac road is satisfactory with only minor surface fretting observed on inspection. Please be aware that all roads are inspected for safety and condition at a frequency in accordance with Council policy. Thank you for reporting this matter.
