No parking lines covered over by Main St resurfacing

Reported via mobile in the Road markings faded/missing category anonymously at 14:52, Wednesday 26 January 2022

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 415545.

The no parking lines across the entrance to Pinfold Court have been lost with the Main St resurfacing works. As a consequence, parents dropping or collecting children from Long Bennington CoE Primary School often block or restrict our access/egress. Apart from the inconvenience, it also severely affects visibility of road traffic and pedestrians.

  • A Road line crew was in the village only last week. They painted a new white line on Winters lane to prevent cars from blocking the pavement. Wouldn't it have been great if at the same time this crew replaced the white lines outside Pinfold Court & Farbrooke Gardens Both of which were not repainted after the road was resurfaced? This is what gives the Council a bad name, the lack of coordination only leads to accusations of wasted resources and taxpayers money.

  • The works are NOT complete, or even started outside Pinfold Court. They appear to have been carried out outside a private drive just south of Pinfold Court.

  • We made a complaint that the white lines outside Pinfold Court had been removed when road was resurfaced and have not been replaced. Our neighbour at The New House was delighted when a new white line was painted across his drive way. He had not registered a complaint. We then had your communication that our complaint had been addressed and the job was complete. The school parents parking across our driveway and the house next door creates a dangerous hazard for residents trying to exit or enter and for pedestrians. The work has not been done and it is hard to believe that the white liner painters could not recognise the correct address.
