Faded and missing double yellow lines on South Street
Reported via desktop in the Road markings faded/missing category anonymously at 21:47, Tue 1 February 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 416143.
The important double yellow lines which run on both sides of the carriageway at South Street are badly faded, and in some parts missing entirely. Photos attached from 01/02/22. These lines identify the need to keep the road clear on the approach to the busy crossroads. They help prevent vehicles from blocking the approach, especially as South Street is notorious for being narrow and a busy main road through Louth, and keep the traffic moving. The double yellow lines should be refreshed along the whole length and reinstated on the areas where resurfacing work has taken place. You can hardly see the faded lines which are at the point of being lost from view.
