Overgrown hedge along footpath on A631 near South Elkington
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown tree/hedges category anonymously at 17:12, Tue 1 March 2022
Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 418835.
The hedge running along the paved footpath at the side of the A631 road is overgrown in numerous places. This is from the end of the row of large houses near Cow Pasture Wood, to the bottom of the dip and road bends. When you walk, or run, on this footpath you are hit in the face by branches and thorny parts of the hedge. Attached photos show the extent to which the branches come out and extend beyond the footpath. You might as well walk down the grass verge along this 200m stretch as it's impossible to follow the whole footpath! Can the council send a team to cut back the hedge and free the footpath please? The surface of the footpath is shockingly poor as well. Can you include this in your investigation and repair some of the many trip hazards too please? This stretch of footpath does get a surprising amount of use by walkers. Thank you in advance.
