Long-term damage to grass verge on High Holme Road

Reported via desktop in the Wheel tracks or ruts category anonymously at 21:39, Tue 8 March 2022

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 419523.

The grass verge has been severely damaged on High Holme Road. There are deep car tyre ruts and holes at the side of the road from where cars and vans mount the kerb and try to squeeze on to the narrow grass verge by the pedestrian path. This is both a trip hazard and an eyesore. The parking which takes place on the grass verge is dangerous to other motorists and pedestrians. It's too busy at this junction to allow cars to park wherever they want. Near junction with North Holme Road.

  • We are sorry but we are not taking immediate action with this report because whilst we appreciate that the verge looks an eyesore, parking is at a premium in this area and if the cars are taxed they are entitled to park. If a ban was enforced here it would create another problem elsewhere. Thank you for reporting this matter.
